The second edition of the Millennium Estoril Open will take place at the Clube de Ténis do Estoril, in Estoril, Cascais, between April 25 and May 1, as announced by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) this Friday.
Standing as the only portuguese event on the ATP World Tour, the tournament founded in 2015 is described by the organization as “the new identity of portuguese tennis on the world tour” and saw Richard Gasquet defeating Nick Kyrgios in straight sets to win its first edition after years of tennis in Jamor, Oeiras, by the hands of João Lagos and his Estoril (later Portugal) Open.
Next year, the main draw is scheduled to start on April 25 — often called the Freedom Day as a reference to the revolution that took place in Lisbon in 1974 –, with the singles final being played on May 1. The qualifying draw begins on April 23.
